In a five day, 40 hour course, investigators will familiarize themselves with all aspects on conducting interviews and interrogations and are not limited to the structure of conducting proper interviews of witnesses, techniques used in interviews and interrogations of suspects, preliminary interviews of suspects, an understanding of case laws related to interrogations, custodial interrogations, voluntary statements, false confessions, analysis of actual interrogations, testifying in court in presentation of video confessions, coordinating with prosecutors in procedures of suppression evidence hearings related to video confessions. In addition to in classroom interview practical exercises with classroom participants.
